There is no two ways about it, Steve Jobs is a pretty smart fellow, and the latest iPhone hotness just proves it.

Lets be completely honest here, the hardware upgrades aren’t that great though. I mean its an improvement, but its not a super vast improvement.. The 2 major things the new hardware brings to the table are 3G networking, and GPS. Both of which for me mean very little.

My current iPhone’s 2G networking works great for me. I mean so what if it takes 60 seconds to load a webpage instead of 30 seconds.. (Or 59 to 23 or whatever it was.. ) I just don’t mind waiting that couple extra seconds.. its not that big of a deal.

So I can’t believe I have been married for a year already! A whole year has gone by in the blink of an eye! It must be magic, cause it really went by fast and everything is still peachy.. More over, for our anniversary gifts to one another we both managed to get the same card, from different stores.. in different cities.. heh

Either we are perfect for one another or both of these stores need a better stock of cards.. heh Considering the vast number that were at my store, I choose the “we are perfect for one another” option.

I was asked the other day why I don’t update my website more often..    A fine question, and I can only offer one answer..  I just don’t want to..

Er let me amend that.. I do want to.. I mean I enjoy doing this stuff, but I do it all day long!   I’m one of those lucky guys who managed to turn a hobby into a career, but in so doing; I lost my hobby.

I program and work on computers, all.. day.. long..  I don’t much care to come home and do it some more.  Its the main reason some of my online projects are suffering.  It’s not that I don’t wish to make something of them, I just can’t get in the mood to do it. Read More

I have discovered as I have gotten older, and more experienced in the ways of computing that I just don’t care what operating system I use. I’m a software guy — having said that, sometimes I feel that I need to give a particular OS a nod — and in this case, a piece of hardware too.

I have 2 main computers that I use at home (beyond my work laptop, my home server and my firewall proxy box).. One is my super uber game machine, and one is my catch all play around machine. The game machine is a windows box because I don’t have much choice — you want to play games, you use windows. Go Win-tendo!

So yet another campus shooting is in the headlines. And yet again people are yelling that video games are the problem! What a complete crock of shit.. Most of these people are extremely religious and they fail to see the irony in what they are saying — but I get ahead of myself.

I myself worship regularly at the house of frag and am a semi-well adjusted person with no aspirations to murder.. I have yet to kill anyone in real life because of some voices in my head spawned by the games that I play.. I’m pretty sure if I play the DVD backwards I wont find Satan’s secret message (I think that would be giving EA or Activision too much credit..) Just as I’m pretty sure playing a game wont make me want to murder someone or confuse my sense of right and wrong.

Recently my server came under what I can only describe as an attack. Clearly some poorly written bot was trying to slurp emails or some such and was sucking up bandwidth by repeatedly loading the same loop of pages.

Normally this sort of thing comes and goes and really doesn’t cause much nuisance, but when they broke the 50,000 page load mark in less than 24 hours I started to get annoyed.
